Easy Garlic and Mushroom Tenderloin Tips Recipe

Ingredients

1 lb beef tenderloin tips, cut into 1-inch pieces

3-4 finely chopped garlic cloves

2 tbps vegetable oil, divided

2 tsp soy sauce

1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Salt and ground black pepper to taste

8 ounces sliced mushrooms

1/2 cup halved cherry tomatoes

1 tbsp butter

Steamed white or brown rice

Instructions

  1. Combine tenderloin tips, garlic, half of the vegetable oil, soy sauce and Worcestershire in large bowl. Season tenderloin tips with salt and pepper and mix all ingredients well so tenderloin tips are fully coated. Set aside for 15 minutes at room temperature (this helps to cook the steak better starting from room temperature versus from cold).
  2. Heat the rest of the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms until lightly browned, 3-4 minutes. Add beef mixture and stir until the tips are browned on the outside, 2 to 3 minutes for medium rare, and longer for more well done steak tips.
  3. Combine tomatoes. Add the butter and continue cooking just so the tenderloin tips get coated with butter, then remove from the heat.
  4. Cook rice per instructions (using instant rice is easy!).
  5. Set servings of tenderloin tips on top of rice and enjoy!

Tenderloin Tips With Red Wine Sauce

Ingredients:

1 lb tenderloin tips, cut into 1-inch pieces

1 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp butter

1 medium shallot chopped

1 tbsp brown sugar packed

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp slat

1/3 cup red wine

1/2 cup low sodium beef broth (regular will work)

Instructions:

Heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add tenderloin tips to skillet and brown on all sides. Stir often, and cook about 4-5 minutes. Remove from pan and keep warm.

Add half of the butter to pan along with the shallots and sauté over medium heat until translucent, usually 2-3 minutes. Stir in brown sugar and salt and pepper. Cook 2 minutes, then add red wine and beef broth. Bring mixture to a boil, lower heat to simmer.

Add the rest of the butter to the pan and stir over low heat. Finally, add previously cooked tenderloin tips and stir to coat for just a minute or two, careful not to overcook. Remember, the bite size nature of tenderloin tips make them cook rather quickly.

Serve with rice, pasta, or pair with one of these easy side dishes for steak night and enjoy.
